Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA)
The LPA is a legal document which allows someone of at least 21 years of age ('donor'), to appoint one or more persons ('donee(s)') to make decisions and act on his behalf should he lose mental capacity in the future. A donee can be appointed to act in the areas of personal welfare and financial matters.
Our experienced geriatrician is an accredited LPA certificate issuer by the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF). She has experience in assessing mental capacity for LPA in patients with dementia.
